Geepas Shatters All Sales Records in Middle East

RIYADH, 11 February 2007 — A Dubai-based firm, which manufactures around 1,400 products, has posted a growth rate of around 150 percent in the Saudi market following an aggressive promotion campaign.

“There is a good market potential in the Kingdom for our range of products,” said Nasar Aboo Backer, CEO of Geepas Saudi Arabia.

He said their company, which has diversified interests in home appliances, garments, footwear and leather goods, has launched a major campaign to penetrate the Saudi market. It has technical collaboration with China which makes it possible to manufacture quality products at affordable cost.

According to Aboo Backer, the company’s policy of “no compromise on quality” was evident from the fact that within a short span of time its subsidiary, Royalford, has become one of the fastest growing companies in the world.

Thanks to its cutting-edge technology, he said the company has shattered all sales records in the Middle East by manufacturing some 1,400 customer-friendly products in the areas of home entertainment, consumer electronics and household goods.

Besides the Middle East, where the company has made its presence felt, Aboo Backer said Geepas is also forging ahead in the CIS countries, as well as in India, Africa, Europe and the US, where it has marketed garments, footwear and leather goods under its brand name Younglife.
