Saudi Kayan Awards Plant Contracts

RIYADH, 12 February 2007 — Sabic affiliate, Saudi Kayan, has awarded two contracts, first for the construction of phenolics plant to produce 240 kta of Bis-Phenol A and the second for the construction of polycarbonate (PC) plant to produce 260 kta of PC. The contracts were given to Tecnicas Reunidas Group and to Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd., respectively. The contracts were signed by Abdullah S. Al-Rabeeah, president of Saudi Kayan and Mutlaq Al-Morished, SABIC vice president, Corporate Finance and chairman of Saudi Kayan.
