DAMMAM, 4 March 2007 — The General Organization of Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT) is helping to track down an Indian expatriate who was running an illegal job-training operation claming it to be an accredited institution, Al-Watan newspaper reported yesterday. The expatriate, with the help of three brothers, was also claming to have close relationships with reputable companies who would hire graduates of his program. He was also in possession of a falsified government license for his fraudulent training company. “GOTEVOT discovered his violations and reported them to the municipalities of Dammam and Riyadh,” said Mubarak ibn Muhammad Al-Maty, a GOTEVOT spokesman. According to the story, the suspects haven’t been detained yet. The fraudulent company was charging SR25,000 for English-language courses as well as supposedly accredited degree programs.
