THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, 10 March 2007 — The Crime Branch of the Kerala police is preparing to approach Interpol for extradition from Dubai of a suspect involved in twin bomb blasts that rocked the northern Kozhikode city a year ago.

“We are contemplating preparing a questionnaire to seek the help of the Interpol for extradition of Abdunnaser, a suspected activist of the National Democratic Front,” Crime Branch police superintendent TP Mohan Das said.

He said the CB, which took over the investigation from the local police after six months of the incident, had clear information that Abdunnasar, who left the country via Karippur International airport near here, was in Dubai.

Investigation had so far zeroed in on the involvement of Abdunnasar, a native of Valancherry in Malappuram district, in the explosions at the main bus stands on March 3 last year using detonators.
