ARAR, 14 March 2007 — A Saudi father recently gave up his right to see the killer of his son put to death following mediation efforts by officials and tribal elders in the northern town of Arar. Eyeid ibn Monour Almodianee decided to forgive Mansour ibn Foreah Al-Bujadee, 18, who fatally stabbed his son Mohammad Almodianee with a screwdriver during a scuffle in 2004.
