DUBAI, 17 March 2007 — The Dubai International Horse Fair (DIHF) 2007, the largest equestrian exhibition in the Middle East, will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center (DICEC) from April 1-4.

The event, organized by Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) with the support of Sheikh Hamdan ibn Rashid Al-Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai who is also the UAE minister of finance and industry and the chairman of the World Trade Center, will play host to many local and international companies from over 22 countries, offering a range of modern equestrian equipment, services, care products and some exciting new equestrian features.

Visitors to the fair will be offered an international choice of what’s new in the equestrian world.

Another key attraction is the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship (DIAHC) that will run alongside the Dubai International Horse Fair, and showcase the beauty, agility and heritage of purebred Arabian horses.

Speaking about the event Abdulla Quassem, member of the higher organizing committee of DIHF and DIAHC, said: “We are anticipating the much-awaited event to be a great success.”

In addition to equestrian-related products and services, visitors can enjoy displays and lessons at the riding and show jumping arena, an equine art exhibition featuring artists from around the world and a riding display by the Dubai Police. Professionals can also take advantage of several seminars and demonstrations that will be conducted during the fair.

Another key highlight at DIHF is the auction for Arabian horses by Al Faisal Stud, which has traditionally attracted several hundreds of horse buyers from around the region.

Admission to the four-day exhibition is free and open to both trade and general public.
