HRDF, Al-Showaer to Give Training to Jobless Saudi Youth

DAMMAM, 20 March 2007 — Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) signed an agreement with Al-Showaer Group of Companies for Trade and Contract to train unemployed Saudi youth, at the HRDF headquarters in Dammam. Hassan Al-Ahmadi, director of HRDF branch in Dammam, signed the agreement on behalf of the fund while Ali Al-Ashqar represented the Al-Showaer Group.

Al-Ashqar said his group strives to promote the Saudization of jobs by training Saudi youth in various technical trades. The new agreement stipulated that his company should train a number of young men in trades, such as in operation of heavy machinery, Al-Ashqar said.

He also thanked a technical institute in Onaiza for persuading its graduates to join and benefit from the training programs organized by the company. He also acknowledged Saudi Aramco for its services in helping Al-Showaer trainees operate huge cranes.

This is the second agreement of the group with HRDF for manpower development.
