Drug Smuggler, Child Killer Executed

JEDDAH, 5 April 2007 — A Yemeni convicted of child murder and a Saudi found guilty of drug smuggling were executed yesterday, the Interior Ministry announced. Majid Al-Adni was executed in the southern Jizan province for murdering an eight-year old boy and sexually assaulting another, the ministry said in statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency. The Saudi man, Mohammed Al-Ruthwan, was executed in the eastern city of Alkhobar for drug smuggling, the ministry said in a separate statement.
