SABB Receives Recognition for Developing Saudi Cadres

RIYADH, 15 April 2007 — The Saudi British Bank (SABB) has received an appreciation certificate from Eastern Province Gov. Prince Muhammad ibn Fahd ibn Abdul Aziz, in the presence of King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals’ (KFUPM) Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan, for the bank’s sponsorship of the university’s 24th career day, which was held for four days last week.

This appreciation comes in recognition of the bank’s continued efforts in supporting and encouraging recruitment programs and Saudization, and its programs in developing and training the promising Saudi cadres, in addition to the bank’s efforts in training KFUPM graduates.

SABB also participated in the accompanying exhibition, claimed to be the first recruitment show in the Kingdom where employment and training opportunities were offered to graduates.

SABB is the official sponsor of the “Chair in Finance” at KFUPM. It currently employs 83 KFUPM graduates.

Tarek Abdulrahman Al-Shubaily, general manager of Human Resources at SABB, said: “SABB’s initiatives in supporting and sponsoring such events, comes as an assurance of the bank’s commitment to its national and social duty, and in compliance with the directives that call for the participation of national companies and establishments, in supporting Saudi cadres, who are capable of participating and contributing to the different aspects of development that are witnessed in the Kingdom, since human cadres are considered the first and real backer of any successful task.”
