IISD Principal E.K. Mohammad Shafee said, “The school charges only SR 300 from the students and provides the same amount as subsidy for their education and training.”
The principal added that about 40 such students were on the wait list due to non-availability of space for them as well as financial constraints. But he said that soon provision will be made for them by raising money through such fetes and other events.
Others said that this type of fair inculcates a business sense among our children who are the future of our country. The efforts of the school administration was appreciated for organizing the fair and making it a memorable event.
A visitor, Noman Kidwai said, “Such events should be organized more frequently to give us a feel of our country where such shows happen regularly.”
Parents praised school authorities for organizing the fete for the benefit of the physically challenged students. They said it will spread awareness among the community about their needs and requirements and will help to provide better provisions for them.
“We feel that the school has taken up a noble cause of providing better facilities to the Special Care Center and we need to support it as much as we can. We not only bought the products made by the children of the center but also urged others to do so,” said Anil Madan.
