JEDDAH, 6 May 2007 — Feeling hungry, but your driver’s gone on strike or maybe you’ve had a hectic day and heading to the kitchen is the last thing on your mind? Then look no further. Logic Holdings has the answer.
Logic Holdings — the brainchild of Marketing Strategist Said Aghil Baaghil — has developed a virtual restaurant with a kitchen-to-home concept called Fork-n-Knife, which allows customers to call a call center and place orders from a menu that includes a wide variety of foods such as breakfast omelets, toasts, sushi, salads, pastas, sandwiches, desserts and grilled seafood.
The dishes are prepared Western-style and served in large portions with minimum orders starting at SR25 for breakfast. Home delivery service is free of charge to any destination in the city with customers receiving their orders in less than 45 minutes.
The call center, located in the Al-Rawda district of Jeddah, has agents standing by 24 hours a day and seven days a week to assist customers with their orders. Beginning operations just last month, Fork–n-Knife, Baaghil said, has proven to be a very successful venture for the marketing company.
“The response we’ve received from customers on establishing Fork-n-Knife has been very positive because of the diverse menu we offer ranging from an array of dishes for breakfast, lunch, or dinner,” Baaghil told Arab News.
“To improve the quality of service for our customers, we have recently leased a new kitchen that can handle staff of up to 120 workers and have hired an additional 45 professional chefs,” said Baaghil.
“We employ our chefs according to the terms of a 90-day probation period in addition to training that we provide locally with the goal of making sure that they are truly professionals, able to handle the workload and able to provide our customers with the best quality dining experience there is to offer,” he added.
When asked by Arab News what prompted him to create Fork-n-Knife, Baaghil said: “Because, I see the difference that we at Logic and myself are making in the lives of people. My goal is to brand new ideas that were previously non-existent rather than creating something already known,” he said.
Fork-n-Knife accepts order of all sizes from individual orders up to largescale banquets, parties etc. For further details contact the call center at 02-6694348.
