Dallah Trading Company introduced a range of high efficiency products in the cooling system at a seminar on Sunday. Dallah Trading, a member of Dallah AlBaraka Holding Company, the sole distributor of Trane air conditioning equipment in the Kingdom, hosted the event at Le Jeddah Meridien Hotel. “Over the past three decades, the partnership of Dallah Trading and US-based Trane Company has achieved a remarkable success, with Trane products being recognized as among the most reliable and efficient brands in the air conditioning industry,” Khurshid Usmani, regional leader of Dallah Trading-Trane, said. “With its turnover of $300 million in the Kingdom, Trane enjoys a 20 percent market share,” he told Arab News. Trane speakers included Imad Kaba, regional director for Middle East, Africa and India (MEAI); Satish Rawal, global product marketing manager; Mohammed Badr, sales manager, residential unitary product, MEAI, and Asim Tanvir, sales manager, light commercial unitary product, MEAI. What was started as a family business in 1913 is today one of the world’s largest suppliers of comfort systems for the heating, ventilating air conditioning and building management industry and covers more than 100 countries worldwide including the Middle East, Usmani said. “Nowadays, Trane is one of the world’s largest suppliers of comfort systems for the heating, ventilating air conditioning and building management industry and covers more than 100 countries worldwide, a majority of which are in the Middle East,” Usmani said. Dallah Trading has emerged as the biggest distributor of Trane products outside the United States, he added.

Riyadh-based Sama Airlines has selected DDB Riyadh for its creative assignment, following a five-month long competition in Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom’s new low fares airline, launched in March, offers customers a simpler way to fly and is committed to offering lower fares on point-to-point routes. Sama will focus initially on serving markets across the Kingdom and expand quickly to the other parts of the Gulf and beyond. The Mercedes-Benz Gift Shop was opened by Ahmed Ramzi Abdul Wahab & Co in Jeddah recently, in cooperation with Juffali Automotive Company & Mercedes-Benz Accessories GmbH. Located at Roshan Mall, the gift shop offers Mercedes-Benz aficionados a chance to show their pride in the car brand through a wide array of branded items including mountain and racing bikes, watches, model cars, clothing, luggage, key chains, etc. The shop has an area of 104 square meters and took 10 months to complete. Its interior design is in accordance with the standards of DaimlerChrysler AG and Isaria Corporate Design GmbH. The National Commercial Bank (NCB) recently celebrated the graduation of 15 business owners in Hail. They graduated from the “How to start your own small business” course, which is part of the AlAhli program for small enterprises. The program aims to support young men and women who want to establish their own small businesses and turn them into businessmen and businesswomen and thus be productive to society. Mahmoud Al-Turkistani, National Commercial Bank’s head of community service unit, noted the cooperation of the small and medium enterprises center at the Hail Chamber of Commerce and Industry, especially their vision and ideas about supporting this sector. Khalid Al-Saif, chairman of the chamber who presented the graduation certificates to trainees, praised the role of the NCB in supporting such programs. He said that the bank had set an example in its community service role.
