DUBAI, 12 May 2007 — Sheikh Tariq ibn Faisal Al-Qassimi, chairman of the Emirates Investment Group (EIG) and chairman of Emirates Global Islamic Bank Limited (EGIBL), held talks with Elamaram Kareem, Kerala’s minister for industries during the minister’s visit to Dubai.
Sheikh Tariq briefed the minister on a number of projects currently under way in the UAE.
Kareem expressed admiration for the projects being carried out by EIG and EGIBL. He also spoke about the potential of investment opportunities in Kerala.
Sheikh Tariq said: “The EIG and the EGIBL are continuously exploring new avenues of investment, both locally and abroad, and further discussions of future possibilities will be welcomed.”
