Riyad Bank Completes Saudization of Women Staff

RIYADH, 1 June 2007 — Riyad Bank has accomplished 100 percent Saudization in its women’s departments, according to the bank’s first woman human resource officer, Gada Bangash.

“The total number of women employees was around 612 at the end of April 2007” Bangash said, adding that today women employees constitute13 percent of the total number of the bank’s staff.

“Riyad Bank is one of the first bank establishments to provide women an opportunity to work in all its 32 sections and departments and now all of its women staff are Saudis. The bank had participated in the “profession day” that was held at Sultan University last week, along with academics, professors, women students and representatives who represented several establishments.

The bank’s participation was aimed at enlightening women students about job opportunity that it specifically offers in accounting, banking and other departments. The bank had a special booth showing job opportunities and privileges that their employees enjoy.

Bangash said that the purpose of the bank’s participation was to attract qualified Saudi women after graduation so as to prepare them professionally to work at the bank’s various departments.
