RIYADH, 11 June 2007 — Fursan Travel & Tourism has announced a multimillion riyal expansion and refurbishment plan for all its 85 branches across the Kingdom that will incorporate the latest technology and furniture that will them a new look and ambience.
Fursan will open three new branches this year including one in Jeddah and another in Qassim.
“Fursan with 35 branches in Riyadh alone, maintains a high standard of service,” said Sakher M. Al-Saleh, Fursan’s marketing manager, during the opening ceremony of the new branch on Khurais Road here Saturday night.
Sakher said “the plan is to promote Fursan as a new brand with more services that include enhanced customer support, more destinations and more packages.”
A glittering ceremony marked the inaugural event of the new Fursan branch, which will render all types of services.
The ceremony was attended by a number of senior travel executives.
They included Sultan Al-Rajhi, Fursan’s general manager; Yahya Atta, deputy general manager; Ibrahim Al-Mohandes and Sakher M. Al-Saleh, senior Fursan executives; Samir Al-Bediny and Jowad Khan of Media Circle and Naeem Jameel, consultant at Eagle for Marketing and Media Services. Atta said “as a group, we have more than 50 branches throughout the Kingdom and are now continuing to expand.
Fursan, established in 1980 with head office in Riyadh, has expanded its operation and services substantially. Today, we are one among the top 100 companies in Kingdom,” he noted.
“Professionalism and skills in the trade has made travel cost effective for our clients by way of effective planning and application of proper airline and tariff principles,” said Fursan executives.
They added that “Fursan offers a unique facility to meet and assist services at the King Khalid International Airport for VIP passengers.
“An early check-in counter at offices enables you to check in the baggage and our staff will wait at the airport with the boarding pass.”
They pointed out that Fursan have also been appointed agents for American embassy visa service where the agency processes the visa application.
“We also handle visa applications for all other embassies,” said the executives.
Fursan has also been providing travel insurance services and issues international driving license (IDL).
Besides, Fursan has made exit formalities for expatriates under which Fursan’s representatives take the exit passengers to the airport and finish the formalities.
