JEDDAH, 23 June 2007 — Royal Jordanian (RJ) seeks to further increase its frequency to Jeddah. “Due to excellent relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, we have managed to increase our frequencies to Jeddah to eight flights a week recently, but we want to expand it further,” Mohammad Nour Atari, Royal Jordanian’s area manager, Jeddah, said during the airline’s awards ceremony here on Tuesday.

The carrier presented awards to travel and cargo agents at a ceremony at Movenpick Hotel, which was also attended by civil aviation and airport officials.

“Our accomplishments for 2006 became a reality due to full support and trust of our travel and cargo partners and full cooperation of civil aviation and airport officials,” Atari said. The airline’s net profit was $10.5 million in 2006 and revenue increased by eight percent to $630 million compared to $584 million in 2005, he said. The carrier introduced e-ticketing in Jeddah on May 29.
