JEDDAH, 6 July 2007 — Pottermania is at its peak this summer. Fans from all over the world are waiting in anticipation for the July 11 release of the movie “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and the July 21 release of the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series — “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

Fans in Saudi Arabia can rest assured that they will not be left out on the global phenomenon and will be able to buy the book on the release date. Jarir Book Store is holding a countdown for the book’s release.

“We are on track to receive the shipment and coinciding with the worldwide release, the book will be available Kingdom-wide when showroom doors open on the 21st,” said David Manohar the Riyadh-based Product Manager of Jarir Book Store yesterday.

Manohar said the company had already received dozens of copy reservations and e-mail inquiries on the book.

Saudi blogger Mochness Monster (http://www.mochness.blogspot.com) recently wrote about the book’s release.

“I haven’t been this proud of Jarir Bookstore for a long while. We went over today, and guess what I found? They’ve a countdown for the release of “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows”! Which reminds me... I’ve to re-read the six HP books.”

More than 325 million copies have been sold in 64 different languages helping to turn author J.K. Rowling into the first dollar-billionaire author.

Rowling, who confirmed that at least two characters will die in the final book, has left fans speculating what will become of the magical boy wizard who has a legion of followers. July 21 will answer all their questions.
