Lebanese Singer Amal Hijazi Enters Kuwait Despite Travel Ban

KUWAIT CITY, 15 July 2007 — Kuwaiti officials are trying to figure out how Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi gained entry into the country despite of a travel ban against her, Bahraini newspaper Akhbar Al-Khaleej reported recently. The ban on Amal from entering Kuwait has to do with her professional collaboration with a person who is involved in some serious legal issues in Kuwait. No further details were provided.

Amal was scheduled to participate in promotional activities in Kuwait. It has been alleged that a high-ranking official ordered her name off the no-entry list.
