MANAMA, 28 July 2007 — Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services has affirmed its ‘A’ long-term and its ‘A-1’ short-term sovereign credit ratings on Bahrain, based on strong financials, with a stable outlook. S&P said it also affirmed its ‘AA-’ transfer and convertibility assessment on Bahrain. “The ratings reflect the government’s continued high net financial asset position and strong international alliances,” S&P’s credit analyst Luc Marchand said. “
