Website Against Unfair Pricing Policies

JEDDAH, 8 August 2007 — A group of angry Saudi consumers are in the process of launching a website to list the names of products and greedy businessmen who practice unfair pricing policies, the Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday. Fed up of constant price increases in foodstuff, the website is a counter- attack against alleged exploitation of consumers. It encourages visitors to boycott the businessmen and change to alternative products. The group also asked the Ministry of Commerce to protect consumers from unfair pricing practices from greedy businessmen.
