RIYADH/JEDDAH, 11 August 2007 — Pakistani expatriates will celebrate their country’s Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies in Riyadh and Jeddah on Aug. 14.
Ambassador retired Adm. Shahid Karimullah will preside over the ceremony at the embassy’s Diplomatic Quarters premises at 8 a.m. and read messages from President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.
The embassy will remain closed on the day and no consular services will be offered to the community.
In Jeddah, Consul General Zaigham Uddin Azam will preside over the ceremony at the consulate premises at 10 a.m.
