JEDDAH, 14 August 2007 — Jeddah India Fraternity Forum is a new association formed by India’s expatriate community resident here. “It represents Indian expatriates coming from all over the country, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Gujarat to Assam comprising various regional, linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds in keeping with the tradition of unity in diversity,” said its President Thouqueer Hussain of Bihar.
He is joined by E.M. Abdullah of Kerala as vice president, Suhail Ahmad of Karnataka as general secretary, Abdul Khader Bari of Tamil Nadu as joint secretary and Abdul Ahad of Andhra Pradesh as treasurer. Its executive members include Javed Ahmad of Uttar Pradesh, Amman Khan of Maharashtra, Parvez Alam of Bihar, Seyad Sirajuddin and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu, Noushad Punnakkal and Ahmad Kutty of Kerala, Ayyoob Quraishi of Andhra Pradesh and Abdul Majeed of Karnataka.
