JEDDAH, 14 August 2007 — The House of Photographers, a division of the Saudi Society for Art & Culture, will hold a photography exhibition, beginning on Saturday, at 9 p.m. at Jeddah House of Artists located in Jamjoom Center on Palestine Street.
Eighty-four photographers will participate in the exhibition. Each participant will be allowed to exhibit one photo.
This is the first exhibition since Saud Mahjoob became the president of the House of Photographers four months ago. “Our aim is to gather photographers under a single roof. Photographers will be from the old and young generation. One of the participants is only 13,” Mahjoob explained. He said that the exhibition had succeeded in attracting many photographers.
The opening day will be for men only from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. while the other days will welcome both men and women. Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The exhibition will last for a week.
