Online employment sites are nothing new. In fact, there are several well-established career portals already up and running to serve the Middle East market. So why would HireSaudi.com be launched at this time?
Rabih Mogharbel, co-founder of HireSaudi.com, agreed that Bayt.com has been the leader in the online job search area and Monster.com is starting to penetrate the market.
“We do no like to consider ourselves competing with Bayt and Monster,” said Mogharbel. “Bayt and Monster are great sites and have helped many find jobs. However, they have candidates from all over the globe applying to all jobs posted. They have Indians, Americans, French... and so on. At HireSaudi.com companies can directly target Saudi candidates.”
According to Mogharbel, the Saudization policies in the Kingdom mean that employers need to give Saudis first priorities when it comes to jobs. If there’s a qualified Saudi with a resume posed at HireSaudi.com then the search to fill that position is successfully and quickly concluded. Using the site is also an excellent method to help reduce local unemployment and the dependency on expatriates in the Kingdom’s workplaces.
The “hire” strategy was co-founded by Mogharbel, the founder and international coordinator of www.moghtarebeen.com, and Dr. Nassib Fawaz, president of www.LIBC.net and president of Energyintl.com.
“Due to the Lebanese diaspora we decided to bring the community together and help qualified Lebanese talents find jobs no matter where they were living. We launched HireLebanese.com in November of 2006. Our aim with HireLebanese.com is to work with Lebanese managers and non-Lebanese managers worldwide to secure as many jobs as possible for individuals from the Lebanese community. Today we have over 1,500 companies using HireLebanese.com.”
He added, “Due to the quick and unparalleled success of HireLebanese.com we decided to launch HireSaudi.com to assist with the Saudization process. We also launched HireQatari.com and HireJordanian.com — all this month. We are running marketing campaigns in the next few months to promote the sites. We expect to experience the same success with the entire ‘hire’ strategy as we’ve seen with HireLebanese.com.”
