BMG Index Loses 2.16 Points

The BMG Saudi Index went down by 0.51 percent losing 2.16 points compared to Saturday’s closing level, reaching a total of 418.44 points. The negative attitude was not adopted by the total value of stocks traded in the index as it increased to SR3.53 billion ($941 million), accelerating by 4.3 percent. The performances of the sectors on the index followed a similar pattern to this of the index as they all lost points and landed on red territories. The biggest loser among all was the agricultural sector as it plunged by 1.10 percent. Furthermore, the services sector followed to lose 7.94 points, and finally the industrial sector came in last losing 6.69 points. The stocks with the biggest market caps on the index were not able to save it from falling.
