JEDDAH, 14 September 2007 — The Brantas Badminton Club mount their 1st In-House Tournament dubbed “Head Strong! Head On!” starting tomorrow at the Soliman Fakeeh Recreation Center’s badminton court.
Together with major sponsor Bison Energy Drink, Brantas Chairman Willie Manalang is hopeful of the success of this tournament to run for one month.
The tournament is a team competition event open to both ladies and men’s in categories B, C and D badminton enthusiasts.
Sequence of the pairing in each team shall be as follows: first match men’s doubles, second match men’s singles and third match women’s doubles. Each team play a single round robin elimination, with the top four teams heading on to the semifinal round. Among the invited clubs seeing action are Jeddah Slashers Badminton Club, Flickers Badminton Club, Buddiesminton Badminton Club, Beaufort Badminton Club, DHL Badminton Club, Battledores Badminton Club and KAIA Badminton Club. The tournament sponsors are Sky Freight Forwarders and Emirates Sky Cargo.
