MADINAH, 7 October 2007 — Agents of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice reportedly found an old woman wandering out alone in the desert outside Madinah, the daily Al-Yaum reported yesterday.
According to the report, the agents were driving along when they saw the woman waving from a distance. After she was picked up, the woman said she had been thrown out of home and had been wandering for two days.
The report didn’t mention if her family exiled the woman or if it involved people unrelated to her. The woman received medical treatment and authorities are investigating.
