ABHA, 8 November 2007 — The producers of the Saudi comedy TV show “Bayni Wa Baynak,” which was stiff competition for the hugely-popular “Tash Ma Tash” this past Ramadan are planning to continue the series by producing a second season of the show, the Al-Watan daily reported yesterday.
The lead actors in the show, Hassan Asiri, Faiz Al-Malki and Rashid Al-Shamrani, will continue their roles in the new season. Meanwhile, Nasser Al-Qasbi, the lead actor in “Tash Ma Tash,” dismissed rumors that the show would cease production. With its popularity steadily increasing over a period of 15 years, “Tash Ma Tash” cannot be sidelined in a single stroke, he said.
