AFU Teams Up With Australian Universities

RIYADH, 13 November 2007 — Alfaisal University (AFU) is teaming up with Australia’s top universities to share resources. Dr. Khaled Manaa Al-Kattan, dean of AFU’s College of Medicine, disclosed the plan during a presentation with a visiting Australian delegation.

The long-term partnership will help the AFU to learn from the Australian experience, recruit faculty from Australia and run course evaluation programs. “The visit would help to create a link between the university and Australia,” said Al-Kattan.

Professor John S.G. Biggs, who heads a major training facility for general medical practitioners in Australia, attended the presentation.
