Taiwanese Trade Mission Explores Business Prospects

RIYADH, 22 November 2007 — The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) will lead a technology-oriented trade mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Nov.24 & 25, 2007 to explore trade and investment prospects.

A total of 20 Taiwan companies from industries such as control panel/meters, solar modules, steel and copper, shop fitting, building/marine hard wares, PF-/plastics/vinyl, air conditioning /air filters, interlining and industrial chemicals will take part in this mission to promote their latest products at trade meetings scheduled in Hotel Riyadh Palace.

In 2006, the Kingdom ranks as the second top importer of Taiwan products in the Gulf, with $530 million. Exports of the Saudi Arabia to Taiwan in the same period were $9.8 billion.

Taiwan has enjoyed tremendous increase in exports to Saudi Arabia this year.
