RIYADH, 2 December 2007 — Starting yesterday, Mobily’s new subscribers will not be charged for their postpaid subscriptions for a year, the company said.

“Subscribers to all postpaid services (Khatty, Khatty Plus and Mada) will not be charged a monthly subscription fee for their respective packages for the first year from the dates of their subscriptions,” the company said in a statement.

This new offer, extending through Dec. 28, comes after the company had launched a number of new services and packages, the latest of which was “Mada” which comprises competitive tariffs.

As well as new subscribers, the offer applies to all subscribers who use the Port-in service (migrating their numbers from the other service operator) called “Raqme”. Moreover, all new subscribers who wish to move from one to another of the packages included in this offer will retain their full advantages.

All clients who wish to take advantage of this offer can visit any of the company’s outlets all over the Kingdom.

Mobily’s postpaid packages have the advantage of standardized tariffs on calls made to all land and mobile networks. One minute call under the “Khatty Plus” package costs only 30 halalas to any number, whether that be to other Mobily customers, fixed lines, or subscribers to other mobile networks.

With the “Mada” package (which means “range” in Arabic), a minute costs as little as 20 halalas to any other land or mobile line all over the Kingdom, provided that the customer makes a call within a certain geographical area (home zone). The “Mada” tariff is the lowest available in the Kingdom today.

For more information, call 1100 for Mobily subscribers or 0560101100 for subscribers to any other network.
