JEDDAH, 17 December 2007 — Al-Khayala Airlines, the Middle East’s only business travel carrier operated by Saudi-based National Air Services (NAS), yesterday announced a 400 percent increase in sales during 2007 compared to previous years.

The airline also reported a 300 percent increase in the number of passengers during the same period.

At a meeting with local travel agents recently, the company revealed its 2008 plans to better serve the corporate travelers by adding new aircraft to its fleet, offering additional destinations in the region, and providing more personalized inflight services.

“Travel agents are our business partners on the road to success,” said Usamah Alsenan, managing director of Al-Khayala. “We look forward to enhance this partnership and focus it on exceeding the expectation of our esteemed passengers.”

Currently, Al-Khayala operates daily flights between Riyadh and Jeddah, and five weekly flights linking Dubai with each city.

The airline targets business and VIP travelers.
