One Killed, 3 Hurt in Jolo Grenade Blast

ZAMBOANGA CITY, 17 December 2007 – A man was killed and three others were wounded in a grenade explosion yesterday in the southern Philippine province of Sulu, police said. Arnold Cataylo, 25, was toying with the grenade when it exploded, said Supt. Hakam Pae, acting provincial police chief. A Marine soldier, Sgt. Cyril Pedenilla, and a woman named Janet Mansog, 32, were wounded in the blast at that occured in the village of San Raymundo in Jolo town. Police said Cataylo, who was apparently drunk, was instantly killed. “We are still investigating the case,” Pae said.
