DUBAI, 3 January 2008 — The Dubai Municipality has launched a fleet of seven vehicles as part of its Public Quality Service Assurance program. The move is aimed at monitoring quality of government services.
The vehicles are fitted with warning lights and searchlights and will provide safety and security for quality inspectors of the department as well as for public. The vehicles also display the municipality’s toll-free number of the municipality for public complaints.
The fleet of seven vehicles will be the first batch; more would be added later, city officials have said.
Khaled Ali Bin Zayed, the director of Municipality Centers Department, said his office has helped to decentralize services deliveries to the public as part of a plan to reduce response time.
