Extensive preparations are being made for the forthcoming, International Trade Fair, IMEXPRO 2008, to be held in Colombo from Feb. 14 to 16.
The Fair, which is being organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will be held at the BMICH, Conference Hall in the Sri Lankan capital.
“To add value, strength and effectiveness to the event, we have partnered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade, Marketing Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Services, Ministry of Export Development and International Trade, Sri Lanka Export Development Board, Department of Commerce and The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka,” Lilakshini de Mel, senior assistant secretary-general of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, told Arab News.
IMEXPRO 2008 is held with the objective of assisting the Sri Lankan and Overseas Business Community to source suitable business partners, she said pointing out that the event will showcase a wide range of local and international products and services.
“As an import and export trade exhibition, IMEXPRO, has been very successful in the past few years, in terms of bringing together exhibitors and buyers. Many previous exhibitors have had the opportunity to make new business contacts and develop their products and business.”
The exhibition will feature products and services under the categories of Agro/Marine Services and Industrial/Manufactured Products sectors.
