JEDDAH, 4 February 2008 — Well-known Ittihad defender Ahmed Dokhi was shot yesterday at his home in Jeddah’s Salama district by an unidentified assailant.
Dokhi was taken to Saudi-German Hospital soon after the attack, informed sources told Arab News. Doctors removed a bullet from his left hand. They said his condition was stable and he would be discharged today.
“It was a criminal act and we don’t know the motives behind it,” one source said.
Dokhi was alone at his home at the time, he said, adding that the gunman came to Dokhi’s house on the pretext of bringing him food.
