Cash Boost for Hail International Rally

JEDDAH - Hail International Rally, which is taking place from Feb. 12-14, has received a boost with yesterday's announcement of additional cash prizes worth SR15,000.

The event, being held with the support of Hail Governor Prince Saud ibn Abdul Mohsen, has Alesayi Motors Co. as its diamond sponsor.

The prince is also the president of the Supreme Commission for Hail Development and head of the Supreme Commission of the Hail Rally.

With the company's announcement of the additional cash prizes, winners of the racing events including autocross, tatees and classic cars show will each receive SR5,000.

During the rally, Alesayi will prepare a special track where motoring enthusiasts can test-drive Mitsubishi's Pajero and Pick-up L200 along with special promotional offers on Mitsubishi cars for Hail province.

In collaboration with the organizing committee, the Alesayi Motors is making available its maintenance center in Hail for the inspection of all participating cars to ensure their readiness before participating in the rally.

"The allocation of these prizes for autocross, tatees and classic cars is part of our continuing commitment to support the development of racing sports and provide young people opportunities to engage in sports and similar worthwhile activities,"

Bender Alesayi, assistant deputy general manager of Alesay Motors, told Arab News.

"We're allowing the use of our maintenance center for the inspection of all participating cars in collaboration with the technical committee of the Rally," he added.
