Suspected Drug Peddlar Arrested

NAJRAN, 14 February 2008 — Police in Najran recently arrested a Saudi found to have SR9,000 hidden in his hat. A police source said the man was arrested with the money in suspicious circumstances after they discovered his car containing an undisclosed amount of hashish in a parking lot. On checking records, police discovered that the 2007 Camry belonged to the suspect. Initially the man denied that he was the owner of the vehicle but when confronted with evidence he confessed to being the car’s owner.
