JEDDAH, 11 March 2008 — An electromagnetic based interactive whiteboard that brings a whole new level of interactivity to any classroom or boardroom, is one of the new education technologies showcased at the four-day meetes’08 event, which opened at the Jeddah International Exhibition and Convention Center yesterday.
“Combined with your computer and a projector, the IPBoard has the power to transform your space into a dynamic learning, training or working environment,” Saleh Al-Jabri, president of Hawx Net International, one of the more than 150 exhibitors at the show said. Dr. Ali ibn Nasser Al-Ghafis, the governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation-TVTC, who opened the exhibition was impressed by the participation of national and international exhibitors.
“The show is impressive and the new technologies exhibited by major overseas participants will immensely benefit our school, college and university students,” Dr. Al-Ghafis told reporters after a tour of the show. Major groups from Malaysia, the UK, Cyprus and Canada and individual participants from Australia, New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, India and the Arab world are taking part in the show.
