RIYADH, 27 March 2008 — Profiles of more than 200 Indian companies were exhibited at the India Catex 2008 that was inaugurated by Hussein Al-Athel, secretary general of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry here yesterday.
The Indian Embassy in association with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the catalog show.
“Saudi Arabia and India maintain cordial relations and this show will help a number of Saudi businessmen familiarize with the opportunities available in India to initiate new areas of cooperation,” Al-Athel told Arab News. He added that most of the products and services displayed at the show are currently required for various projects carried out in the Kingdom.
Indian Ambassador M.O.H. Farook said that this is a good opportunity for the Saudi businessmen to know the opportunities available in the country.
He said that this show was successfully displayed in the eastern province and the mission hopes to take it to Hail in the coming weeks. He pointed out that the show covered a wide range of areas where the private sectors from the two countries could join hands for mutual interests.
