RIYADH, 1 April 2008 — Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received Sidi M. Ahmayda, the roving ambassador for Niger President Mamadou Tandja at his office in Riyadh, the company reported yesterday. The ambassador discussed with the prince the updates on the hotel proposal that was presented in the Niger president's letter to him regarding strengthening the country's economy during the previous meeting. The prince affirmed his commitment to investing in Africa. Kingdom Hotel Investments (KHI) is currently studying the project and once it is concluded all concerned parties will be updated. In June 2006, the prince visited Niger and was bestowed the national medal by the president in recognitions for his efforts on the humanitarian and economical fronts.
