JEDDAH, 4 May 2008 — Thiruvananthapuram Swadeshi Sangamam (TSS) celebrated its third anniversary with a variety of cultural programs at Lora Compound recently. Musafir of Malayalam News opened the festivities and commended the organization’s cultural, social and humanitarian activities. Shajeer Kaniyapuram, TSS general secretary, presented a detailed report about the organization’s major achievements last year. TSS is the second Keralite organization in Jeddah to win a NORKA registration.
President M.K. Ashraf urged all other organizations to continue their constructive cooperation with TSS.

Songs by Mirza Sharief, Rahna Saleem, Sunaj, Nithu and Bima Bashir and a variety of dances by schoolchildren made the event lively. A medical camp held by Hassan Ghazawi Hospital and Sameera Polyclinic was another attraction. Treasurer Sujathan received financial assistance for the treatment of Shajahan, a former expatriate worker.
