AJMAN, 7 May 2008 — Sheikh Humaid ibn Rashid Al-Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council & ruler of Ajman, awarded the degree certificates to the fourth batch of medical and physiotherapy graduates of Gulf Medical College in the presence of Humaid Mohamed Obeid Al-Qattami, UAE minister of health, on Monday evening.
B. Ahmed Hajee Mohiudeen, chairman of BA Group, presented the merit certificates to the students, while professor Gita Ashok Raj, dean, GMCA, administered the oath to the 83 graduates from MBBS and BPT programs who were presented the certificates.
Several dignitaries from different departments attended. Thumbay Moideen, president of Gulf Medical College conducted the convocation. A statement from GMC said that the degree of Gulf Medical College, attested by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education, is recognized globally. GMC Hospital and Research Center is the first private teaching hospital in the UAE promoted by Thumbay Group with a capacity of 250 beds.
