JEDDAH, 1 June 2008 — Following the award of the general sales agency for Saudi Arabia to Elaf Aviation (Elaf Travel & Tourism), the two organizations celebrated the event in Jeddah over the weekend.
A highlight of the celebration was the opening of a new Royal Brunei Airlines sales and reservation office at Al-Nakheel Center on Madinah Road.
Brunei Consul General Harun Junaid, Abdul Rahman Addas, deputy managing director of SEDCO (Elaf’s parent company), Ziyad ibn Mahfouz, CEO of Elaf Group of Companies, Tarek Nabulsi, deputy CEO of Elaf Group of Companies, Majed Kaki, general manager of Elaf Travel & Tourism Company, Abdu Nasir Haji Bulhasan, VP sales of Royal Brunei Airlines, Abdul Latif Abdullah, area manager (Middle East) of Royal Brunei Airlines, Yousef Javeed, country manager for Saudi Arabia of Royal Brunei Airlines, and Nasir Khan, GSA manager of Elaf Aviation, were among those present.
Like in the past, Elaf Group participated in the recent annual Arabian Travel Market (ATM) held in Dubai. “Elaf chose to participate with an elegant stand at the ATM, as it is internationally renowned as the most important travel trade show attracting exhibitors from the world over who offer new products and destinations and where travel and tourism experts and major travel trade decision-makers meet under one roof,” a senior Elaf executive said.
“Elaf Group’s stand was the focal point where buyers of Elaf products and clients of Elaf hotels signed a number of contracts. The booth also witnessed a large number of Elaf agents and service providers from around the world,” he added.
Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Chairman Adel Kaki and Secretary General Yasser Ewaan and Ehsan Al-Qurashy, president, Abdul Samad Al-Qurashy Group, were among those who visited the stand.
