JEDDAH: Several cleaners were arrested attempting to smuggle medicines worth about SR250,000 from the King Fahd General Hospital in Jeddah yesterday. “Police arrested a number of Asian workers attempting to take out large quantities of costly medicines out of the hospital. Police were waiting for them on a tip-off from a hospital worker,” Col. Misfar Al-Joaed, spokesman for Jeddah police, said yesterday. Police are investigating if anyone else in the hospital was involved in the crime.
