JEDDAH: The BMG Saudi Index appreciated by a very marginal 0.04 percent to 517.7 points yesterday. The market turnover, however, further lost 13.4 percent, achieving SR3.1 billion ($825 million) in Yesterday’s session. Three of the sectors closed in green territory, of which the best was the banking sector, which advanced by 2.0 percent, and was followed by the insurance and agricultural sectors, which went up by 1.2 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively. The industrial sector declined by 0.3 percent, while the services sector went down by 0.5 percent. The telecommunications and electricity sectors depreciated by 1.0 percent and 2.0 percent, respectively.
Ten shares ended the session on a positive note, whereas four stood still. United International Transportation Company Ltd. saw its share price increase by 7.4 percent to SR97.50. The worst performance, on the other hand, was recorded by Kingdom Holding Company, falling by 2.5 percent, to reach a closing price of SR9.75 per share.
