Indian worker found strangled

JEDDAH: An Indian expatriate in his 30s was found strangled in his room at a residential complex of a private security companies in Sulaimaniyah district, local newspapers reported yesterday. The reports did not identify the dead but said his roommate, who immediately reported the case to the supervisor of the complex, found the body. About 1,200 foreigners live in the complex, which has 68 apartments with 250 rooms. Col. Misfar Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police, said investigations started immediately to arrest the culprits. A forensic expert affirmed that it was a criminal case of strangling but police said there were no traces of violence or forceful entry to the room, Al-Juaid said, adding that this indicates that the victim knew the murderer or murderers.
