Mobily Internet link in 74 countries

RIYADH: Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) subscribers can now stay connected to the Internet with over 188 operators covering 74 countries when roaming abroad, according to a statement issued by the company on Wednesday.

Recent mobile Internet and MMS multimedia messaging roaming destinations added by Mobily include Ecuador, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Palestine, Bosnia and Iceland. Mobily subscribers roaming in these countries can stay connected to their e-mail using a laptop, a BlackBerry device or a BlackBerry Connect-enabled handset, and even using ActiveSync, a Microsoft push mail technology.

“We want our customers to feel at home wherever they travel,” said Abdulaziz Al-Tamami, Mobily’s chief operations officer.
