JEDDAH — The BMG Saudi Index ended yesterday’s trading session on a negative note. The index dropped by 2.1 percent to 460.68 points. The total turnover also went down by 0.5 percent to SR1.4 billion ($371 million), compared to SR1.4 billion ($373 million) registered in Sunday’s trading session.
Six sectors depreciated, whereas the telecommunications sector’s level stood still. The worst performer was the agricultural sector.
Twenty-five shares fell, while three went up, with Saudi Kayan Petrochemicals’ share price witnessing no change and closing at SR22.75, and Zain KSA also standing still at SR23.25. The best performer was Kingdom Holding Company, appreciating by 3 percent to SR8.50, whereas the session’s worst performer was United International Transportation Company, falling by 5.2 percent to SR77.75.
