A premier chain of Indian restaurant has embarked on a massive expansion plan in Saudi Arabia with two more world-class dining outlets to be opened early next year. The ‘Indian Summer Restaurant’ will be opened in the capital city besides the existing three outlets, while another restaurant will be opened in the Eastern Province,” said a press statement released by the restaurant.

The restaurant management also took the opportunity to congratulate all Saudis and Indians on the occasion of Indian independence day.

The Indian Summer Restaurants chain already has a 300-plus banquet facility located on King Abdulaziz Road in Mursalat district. The Indian Summer management is all set to surpass all high cuisine standards, said the statement, adding that the new Indian Summer Restaurants will have family sections, separate dining facilities, playing areas for children and outdoor catering facilities. The new outlets will follow the same concept of high-standard cuisine, it said.

The restaurants that are currently operating also feature the best standards including color and class ambience that reflect the princely cultural heritage of India. Indian Summer (IS), which has three outlets, ranks first in serving authentic Indian cuisine primarily catering to the tastes of Saudi, Western and Asian customers. IS restaurants offer over 100 dishes.

“Our executive lunch buffet and specialized live tandoor catering are two most coveted dishes and is liked by everyone in the city,” said an IS spokesman, adding that IS also offers business lunch buffet and adds new dishes and prepares new menu from time to time. “Children under four years of age are admitted free of charge and children from five to eight years old are given a discounted rate ,” he said. He claimed that IS restaurants are the only places in Riyadh where people can enjoy the aromatic flavor of spices and a range of authentic subcontinental dishes including Kashmiri cuisine.

IS has also blazed a new trail on the culinary front by embarking on a project to diversify its cuisine range. The restaurants will introduce a new menu from next month during Ramadan. The restaurants with new menu in Ramadan, the spokesman said, will offer quality food and value for meals.

The IS spokesman said the outdoor catering services offered by IS are now regarded the best among the top-notch restaurants currently operating in the city. The restaurant has become very popular in terms of catering outdoor parties and functions. Referring to the customers from the subcontinent, he said that “Those from the subcontinent of course continue to be our regular customers.”
